Last updated: 19 July 2026
This website and the products and services offered through it are operated by Tomitra Technologies Private Limited ("Tomitra", "we", "us", or "our"), a company incorporated in India (CIN U62099UW2026PTC254680), with its registered office at A-64, Sector 63, Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh 201301, India. This Privacy Policy covers the tomitra.com website and the Tomitra News service, meaning our mobile applications and the web reader at news.tomitra.com.
Information we collect
On the website, we collect only what we need to respond to you: information you choose to give us, such as your name, email address, and the contents of any message you send us, and basic technical data your browser sends automatically, such as your IP address, device and browser type, and pages viewed, used to keep the site secure and reliable.
In the Tomitra News service, when you create an account we additionally collect the details of your sign-in method (name, email address, or phone number for OTP sign-in), your profile choices (display name, preferred language, news mood, chosen categories, and city), your reading activity (stories viewed, saved, liked, searched, and comments you post), notification settings and device push tokens used to deliver notifications you have asked for, and diagnostic information such as crash logs. If you enable location, we use your approximate or precise location only to show news from your area; location is optional and the service works without it.
How we use information
We use the information to provide and personalise the service (your feed, briefings, and notifications), respond to enquiries, improve our products, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations. Story summaries, briefings, and answers from Ask Tomitra are generated with the help of automated language technology processing article text; your questions to Ask Tomitra are processed to produce the answer and to improve the feature. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the contents of your private messages or questions for advertising.
Sharing
We may share information with service providers who help us operate the site (for example, hosting and analytics providers) under appropriate confidentiality obligations, and where required by law or to protect our rights. We do not otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties for their own marketing.
Data retention, deletion & security
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law, and we apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. You can delete your Tomitra account and the personal data associated with it at any time from the app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account), from your account page on news.tomitra.com, or by following the steps at tomitra.com/delete-account.

Subject to applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and may nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.
